Patricia Iyer MSN RN LNCC CLNI is a legal nurse consultant with almost 20 years of experience assisting attorneys who handle medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Her contributions to the field of legal nurse consulting include:

• serving as president of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consulting,
• being the chief editor of Legal Nurse Consulting Principles and Practices, the core curriculum for legal nurse consulting (published by AALNC),
• being the chief editor of Business Principles for Legal Nurse Consultants (published by AALNC), and
• serving as the chief editor of AALNC’s online legal nurse consulting course.

Mrs. Iyer is the only legal nurse consultant in the country who has been honored by AALNC two years in a row. She was given AALNC’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005 and Volunteer of the Year Award in 2006.

Mrs. Iyer is a certified legal nurse consultant, having earned certification from AALNC. The LNCC credential is the only legal nurse consulting certification that meets the standards of other nursing certifications and the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS) and is open only to legal nurse consultants who are experienced.

No other medical legal consultant has written as much as Mrs. Iyer. A prolific author, Patricia Iyer has been the editor of 6 texts, coeditor of 7 texts, coauthor of 5 texts, editor of 4 case studies, and author of 43 chapters, in addition to writing numerous articles.
