What is a webinar?
A webinar is a presentation that is delivered over the internet.

Do I need any special equipment to participate in a webinar?
All you need is your computer screen and keyboard and either a telephone, speakers or a headset.

You participate in a webinar by listening to the speaker, watching Powerpoint slides, and sending in and answering questions. You may listen to the presenters through a telephone headset, speakers, or a headset. You use your computer screen to watch the Powerpoint slides and do not need to have Powerpoint installed on your computer to see them. You use your computer keyboard to send in and answer questions.

You may listen to the presentation by dialing a phone number and hearing the presenters over your phone. Or, you may put on a headset that enables you to hear sound through your computer or turn on speakers attached to your computer. You would join the webinar by clicking on a link that will be shared with you when you register for the program.

How does a webinar differ from your teleseminars?
Our teleseminars have an auditory component only. You can listen to our teleseminars through a telephone, headset, or speakers. Our teleseminars do not include slides.

I would like to see a webinar that has already been presented. How can I do that?
Our programs are recorded and saved for future viewing. Once you purchase the program, you will receive a replay link that will allow you to watch and hear the recorded program. We will also have the programs transcribed.

What is a teleseminar?
A teleseminar is a lecture that takes place over the phone. Our lectures are conducted as interviews between the moderator and the guest. If you want to participate in the live program, you will purchase the right to be part of the call and be given a phone number and a conference ID number to use at the time of the call. A few minutes before the teleseminar is to begin, you will call that number and will be connected to the teleseminar. You may also listen live over the web through a flashplayer, Windows Media or a popup player. You will listen in on the seminar as the moderator (Pat Iyer) interviews the guest speaker.

Will I have a chance to ask questions of the speakers?
Yes, you will have a chance to type in questions in advance of the program, which will be emailed to Pat Iyer. When you register for the phone call, you will be sent a link that enables you to send questions, and also gives you the phone number to call and the conference code.

May I record the teleseminar?
No, the call will be recorded by the teleseminar company. A recording of the call, in the form of a CD or MP3 file, will be available for sale after the call.

What is an MP3 file?
This is a file that you download onto your computer and listen to on an MP3 player or Ipod or with speakers or a headset directly from your computer.

I would prefer to read the transcript of the call instead of attending the live event. How can I get the transcript?
We will have the call transcribed and send the PDF transcript of the call once the transcript is ready. Just select the transcript option when you place your order.

How do I read a PDF file?
Go to www.adobe.com and download the free Adobe Reader.

Is the transcript reviewed and edited?
Yes, it is lightly edited. Accurate transcription is verified before it is finalized.

What happens if I pay for the live teleseminar and miss the call because of a scheduling conflict?
Just let us know you missed the call and we will send you either the transcript as a PDF file or the MP3 file at no additional charge.

I can’t attend the live program but would still like to get the information. How can I do that?
We will sell the CD and MP3 file after the call, and will have the transcript for sale after it has been prepared.

If I can’t attend the call, what is the estimated delivery time for the other ways the program is available?
The MP3 file will be ready in 1 week. The transcript will be ready in 1-2 weeks. The CD will be ready in 2 weeks.

Why does it take longer to get the CD?
We need to send the audiofile to the company that reproduces the CDs. The company burns the CD and sends it to us for approval. After we approve of the quality of the image and recording, orders can be filled.

I would like to earn nursing contact hours for the program. How do I do that?
We are able to grant nursing contact hours through an arrangement with Taylor College. Each 1 hour teleseminar has been approved for 1 contact hour. All you have to do is print out the evaluation form and post test, complete both documents, and mail with a check for $15.00 to Taylor College. The provider is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP-3285. CE credit is accepted in all states that require mandatory continuing education for relicensure. Call 1-800-743-4006 with CE questions. There will be a $15 fee, paid directly to the provider, only if you need the CE certificate.

Are the contact hours granted by Taylor College good anywhere in the US?
Yes, they are. Any specific questions related to contact hours should be directed to Norman Heavens at Taylor College, 1-800-743-4006.

If I don’t want contact hours, where to I send the program evaluation form?
The evaluation form should be sent to Pat Iyer at 260 Route 202-31, Suite 200, Flemington, NJ 08822. We encourage you to give us feedback.

Do you offer teleseminars that have been approved for CLE for attorneys?
No, not at this time.
